Position: Receptionist and Office Attendant (1 Vacancy)
Duration: 1 year (Possible extension based on performance)
Duty Station: Kampala
Reports to: Country Director
Job Summary:
As the Receptionist and Office Attendant, you will provide essential front desk services, manage office supplies, handle correspondence, and maintain a clean and organized office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reception Duties: Greet visitors professionally, answer and direct phone calls, and manage incoming and outgoing mail.
- Office Cleaning: Ensure daily cleaning of workstations, meeting rooms, break rooms, and restrooms.
- Administrative Support: Coordinate meeting room schedules, assist with data entry and filing, and handle other administrative tasks as required.
- General Support: Provide assistance to office staff and perform additional duties as assigned.
Education & Qualifications:
- Diploma in Office Management, Secretarial Work, Customer Service, or a related field.
- Fluent in English, both oral and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse environment.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
Performance Measurement:
- Ensure timely, clear, and professional communication.
- Maintain organized and quality filing of project documents.
- Produce and submit accurate reports on time.
Compensation:
- Monthly gross salary up to $350, based on qualifications, inclusive of government tax.
- Medical insurance and NSSF benefits.
Contract Terms:
- Initial three-month probationary period.
- Annual performance review for contract renewal.
