Overview
Oxfam in Uganda is part of a global movement striving to end inequality and injustice. We focus on empowering vulnerable communities, especially women and youth, to build resilience and improve livelihoods through sustainable energy solutions. We are currently seeking dedicated professionals to join our team in Arua.
- Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the SUSTAINED project, ensuring objectives are met within the timeframe.
- Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to promote synergies and enhance project impact. Monitor and evaluate project performance, prepare reports, and manage budgets. Engage in advocacy efforts to influence policy related to clean energy access for refugees and host communities.
Qualifications: - Minimum 2 years of experience working with vulnerable communities and knowledge of humanitarian programming.
- Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Energy Economics, or a related discipline.
- Experience in clean energy solutions and a strong commitment to gender equality and women’s rights is a plus.

- Support the Project Officer in implementing project activities and ensuring timely reporting. Collaborate with consortium members and stakeholders to enhance project synergies. Compile and submit progress reports, and assist in monitoring project implementation.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with vulnerable communities and knowledge of humanitarian programming.
- Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Energy Economics, or a related discipline.
- Experience in clean energy solutions and a strong commitment to gender equality and women’s rights is a plus.
