Job Purpose:
The Emergency Physician will serve as the clinical lead within a multidisciplinary team in a remote environment. The role involves both managerial and clinical responsibilities, with a focus on enhancing the health status of site personnel through comprehensive and culturally appropriate primary health care services.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioner Council (UMoH).
- Valid license to practice and a certificate of good standing from the UMoH.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification.
- Major Incident Medical Management and Support (MIMMs) certification.
- First Aid Training Instructor certification.
- Drug and Alcohol Screening knowledge.
- Competent in Microsoft Office.
- Extensive experience in emergency medicine management.
- Proven ability to provide high standards of clinical care.
- Competency in psychological counseling.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of remote site operations, particularly in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Experience with HSE management systems or similar.
