Organization Overview:
The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) is seeking dedicated professionals to join their team as Nurse / Interviewers. UBOS is a government agency focused on collecting, analyzing, and disseminating statistical data to support policy-making and development.

Position Summary:
The Nurse / Interviewer will play a crucial role in socio-economic survey data collection and provide essential healthcare support. The ideal candidates will have experience in data collection, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in all training sessions related to the UMIS activity.
• Accurately enter questionnaires into personal computer devices.
• Diagnose and treat malaria in respondents as identified by Laboratory Technicians.
• Offer emotional and psychosocial support to respondents.
• Maintain close contact and follow-up with respondents throughout the survey.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in socio-economic survey data collection.
• At least 2 years of experience as an enrolled nurse.
• Good computer skills and experience with digital data collection devices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Fluency in at least one local language from: Ateso, Luganda, Lugbara, Luo, Ngakarimojong, Runyankole, Rukiga, Runyoro, Rutoro, Lusoga, Lumasaaba, or Rukonjo.
• Must be available exclusively for the UMIS activity.

Qualifications:

• Certificate in Enrolled Nursing / Comprehensive Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE).
• Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least a Credit in Maths and English.

Work Hours: 8 hours per day
