Summary:
Watu Credit Uganda Ltd is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to oversee daily accounting operations. This role involves managing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance, and requires a strong background in accounting and finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accounting procedures and financial manuals.
- Prepare and manage WATU’s budget, statements, and analytical reports.
- Oversee monthly reporting, budgeting, and reforecast processes.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and tax obligations.
- Build and maintain relationships with auditors, Uganda Revenue Authority, and Customs.
- Manage and create financial documents for lenders and investors.
- Participate in financial processes and organizational matters.
- Review petty cash vouchers and participate in month-end petty cash closing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounts, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Professional Qualification (CPA/ACCA).
- Minimum of 5-6 years of financial accounting experience.
- Proficient in accounting concepts and standards, with strong knowledge of Ms Excel and Word.
- High degree of integrity and ability to work independently.
