Summary:
Watu Credit Uganda Ltd is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to oversee daily accounting operations. This role involves managing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance, and requires a strong background in accounting and finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accounting procedures and financial manuals.
  • Prepare and manage WATU’s budget, statements, and analytical reports.
  • Oversee monthly reporting, budgeting, and reforecast processes.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and tax obligations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with auditors, Uganda Revenue Authority, and Customs.
  • Manage and create financial documents for lenders and investors.
  • Participate in financial processes and organizational matters.
  • Review petty cash vouchers and participate in month-end petty cash closing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounts, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Professional Qualification (CPA/ACCA).
  • Minimum of 5-6 years of financial accounting experience.
  • Proficient in accounting concepts and standards, with strong knowledge of Ms Excel and Word.
  • High degree of integrity and ability to work independently.
