We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for our client, Inspire Africa Coffee.
Job Summary:
The CFO will play a crucial role in the strategic management of the company, overseeing all financial-related activities. This senior leadership position involves managing internal finance functions such as accounting, cash forecasting, strategic planning, and compliance. The CFO will report directly to the Group CEO.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies and objectives.
- Secure financing from local banks.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including forecasts, cash flows, and budgets.
- Manage the finance team, building a high-performing and engaged team.
- Collaborate with senior executives to enhance business performance and drive value creation.
- Maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify and meet business needs.
- Advise on financial implications of business activities and improve efficiency and control.
- Oversee financial forecasting, budgeting, consolidation, and reporting.
- Provide recommendations for improving financial performance and business opportunities.
- Lead IT-related financial systems projects and ensure compliance with local regulatory laws.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Degree in Accounting or Finance; Professional accountancy qualification (ACA/FCA, ACCA/FCCA, CIMA, CPA) is required.
- Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance is advantageous.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in senior finance leadership roles.
- Experience in system rollouts, securing financing, and managing multi-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, high integrity, and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Purpose:
To perform advanced accounting tasks, including budget preparation, financial reporting, expenditure control, and internal control system design. The role supports business growth and profitability through strategic financial management.
Functions/Key Results Expected:
- Provide accurate and timely financial services, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
- Manage statutory reporting, compliance, and VAT submissions.
- Develop and implement finance policies and procedures.
- Generate and analyze monthly management accounts.
- Oversee bank reconciliations, debt collection, and risk assessment.
- Manage the finance department, performance, and departmental development.
- Ensure compliance with ERP system standards and internal controls.
Mandatory Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA/ACCA qualification required.
