Refactory Limited is an academy committed to addressing youth unemployment by bridging the skills gap in software and tech-related fields in Africa. Founded by Clarke International University (CIU), Laboremus Uganda Ltd, Fontes Foundation, and Youth With A Mission UK, we aim to empower young talent through comprehensive training and development programs.

Position Overview: The Data & Systems Analyst will manage data systems, analyze program data, and provide insights to support decision-making and program improvement at Refactory. This role includes overseeing data collection, maintaining databases, generating reports, and developing analytical tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data collection protocols, surveys, and assessment tools.
  • Compile, clean, and analyze educational data to generate reports and visualizations.
  • Conduct statistical analysis to identify patterns and trends.
  • Collaborate with program staff to translate data findings into actionable strategies.
  • Manage and maintain the academy’s data systems, ensuring data accuracy and security.
  • Provide training and support to staff on data analysis techniques and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in data analysis or database management.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, Excel, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

Job Title: Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Specialist

Position Overview: The MEL Specialist will design and implement the monitoring and evaluation framework for Refactory’s programs, focusing on optimizing effectiveness and impact through data analysis and strategic recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation framework.
  • Coordinate data collection efforts and analyze quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Conduct evaluations to assess program outcomes and impacts.
  • Facilitate learning activities to capture lessons learned and best practices.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to staff on M&E concepts.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
