Reports to: Head of Information Technology

Job Summary: The IT Security Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating BRAC Uganda Bank’s information security programs to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Bank’s IT assets. This role involves managing IT service continuity, Business Continuity Management (BCM), Disaster Recovery (DR), and Work Area Recovery (WAR) processes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive IT security architecture.
• Develop and enforce security controls and assess IT programs against security standards.
• Oversee information security governance, risk management, and compliance.
• Ensure security in IT projects and innovations.
• Maintain compliance with information security policies and regulations.
• Develop and test disaster recovery and BCM plans.
• Report on security control compliance and coordinate remediation efforts.
• Manage third parties and vendors in information security programs.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field.
• Professional certifications (CEH, CISM, CISA, CISSP) are advantageous.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in information security.
• Expertise in cyber security controls, incident handling, and regulatory guidelines.

Vacancy: IT Applications Manager

Reports to: Head of Information Technology

Job Summary: The IT Applications Manager will lead the technical support for the core banking system, digital financial systems, alternative banking channels, and database systems. This role focuses on ensuring system integrity, stability, performance, and availability.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead technical support for core banking and other IT applications.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of applications and databases.
• Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity.
• Develop and test business continuity and recovery plans.
• Manage real-time monitoring and reporting.
• Ensure knowledge transfer and succession planning within the IT applications team.
• Manage relationships with vendors and contractors.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Certifications in ITIL, Oracle Database, and Microsoft SQL Server are beneficial.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in ICT within a regulated financial institution.
• Expertise in core banking systems, alternative banking channels, and third-party applications.
