Job Title: Senior Reinsurance Officer

Organisational Relationships:

- Directly Supervises: Reinsurance Officer(s)
Main Purpose of the Job:
To support the Manager Reinsurance by organizing and closely monitoring the provision of reinsurance services at SWICO, ensuring alignment with strategic plans, policies, and standards.
Key Result Areas and Responsibilities:
1. Planning and Organizing for Reinsurance Services
- Contribute to formulating strategies, work plans, and budgets.
- Organize facilities and resources for reinsurance services.
- Set performance targets for Reinsurance Officers and conduct periodic appraisals.
2. Ensuring Effective Provision of Reinsurance Services
- Prepare the Reinsurance program and arrange facultative insurance.
- Handle reconciliation statements, prepare reports, and manage credit/debit notes.
- Supervise and prepare various reinsurance documentation and statements.
3. Leadership
- Assign and supervise work, provide guidance, and evaluate performance.
- Address staff capacity development needs and foster teamwork.
4. Institutional Management and Development
- Attend to queries, represent the company, and advise on improvements.
- Participate in meetings and prepare reports.
Person Specification:
Minimum Academic and Professional Qualifications:
- University Degree in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Professional qualification in insurance (CII).
Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years in Underwriting, Claims, or Reinsurance, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
Key Skills and Attributes:
- Negotiation, communication, report writing, and analytical skills.
- Teamwork, time management, and high integrity.

Job Title: Head of ICT

Organisational Relationships:
- Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
- Directly Supervises: Senior ICT Officer, ICT Officer
Main Purpose of the Job:
To oversee all ICT operations at SWICO, including hardware, software, data systems, and network infrastructure. Provide leadership, maintain technology systems, and advise on ICT development.
Key Result Areas and Responsibilities:
1. ICT Management
- Develop and review ICT policies, procedures, and strategies.
- Oversee operations, including hardware/software administration, troubleshooting, and user support.
- Manage the purchase, installation, and maintenance of ICT assets.
2. Operations of Computing Infrastructure
- Ensure the reliability and dependability of ICT infrastructure.
- Manage server configuration, preventive maintenance, and software licensing.
3. Information Security
- Implement and review information security policies.
- Conduct security awareness programs and internal audits.
4. Relationship Management
- Identify user requirements for new infrastructure and manage ICT service providers.
5. Management of the Department
- Conduct departmental meetings, supervise staff, and oversee budget expenditures.
- Prepare reports and manage ICT performance.
Person Specification:
Minimum Academic Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Additional Training/Certifications:
- Microsoft Professional Certification, Microsoft Systems Engineering Certification.
- Security-related certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA).
- IRAU Certification.
Experience Required:
- At least 5 years in ICT infrastructure operations, computer network administration, and information security.
- Managerial experience and proficiency in website design.
Key Skills and Attributes:
- Systems analysis, network administration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Strong technical skills, management, and communication abilities.
