Azawi, Ray G Clash on Stage

Azawi and Ray G, prominent Ugandan musicians, found themselves in a clash on stage during the Comedy Store Ug event at University Inn in Mbarara over the weekend. The discord arose from a disagreement over the scheduled performance time, leading to chaos and on-stage arguments.

Ray G, having arrived early, prepared to take the stage. However, when Azawi arrived later, she disregarded the performance roster, insisting that she should perform before him. She even sought the audience’s opinion on whether she should take the stage first.

Ray G, visibly frustrated by Azawi’s actions, expressed his disappointment when it was finally his turn to perform.

He further criticized musicians from Kampala for consistently disrespecting regional artists.
