The news surfaced on social media when a user suggested that the Firebase boss would soon be referred to as “Counsel,” hinting that he was pursuing further studies. Bobi Wine responded to the post, confirming that he had indeed enrolled in the program several months ago.
Bobi Wine’s academic journey began in August 2016 when he started his law studies at the International University of East Africa (IUEA). However, he later transferred to Cavendish University. This decision was influenced by the National Unity Platform (NUP) Secretary General, David Lewis Rubongoya, who pointed out that IUEA lacked full accreditation to offer law degrees at the time.
After eight years of determination and perseverance, Bobi Wine successfully graduated from Cavendish University with a Bachelor of Laws degree, adding to his earlier diploma in Music, Dance, and Drama.
His path to graduation was far from smooth. At one point, Bobi Wine missed a few lectures in a critical course unit, which prevented him from graduating on time. Instead, he was required to retake the course unit, extending his studies by another year. Despite the setback, he accepted the challenge and ultimately completed his degree.
