Organization Overview:
Uganda Development Trust (UDET) is dedicated to promoting economic growth and improving livelihoods through grant management and business development services for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Farmer-Based Organizations (FBOs) in Uganda. UDET is the implementing partner of the United States African Development Foundation (USADF) Program in Uganda.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist grantees in developing viable business plans for bankability.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on potential grantees to ensure compliance with USADF funding criteria.
- Create financial projections for SMEs and businesses seeking financial assistance to determine their viability.
- Aid funded businesses in establishing financial goals and performance indicators for measuring success.
- Perform industry and market analyses to identify business growth opportunities.
- Review quarterly reports from grantees to evaluate progress and adherence to performance indicators and implementation plans.
- Monitor ongoing projects and businesses, addressing and resolving issues promptly.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
- Practical experience in designing and managing business enterprises.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in due diligence on potential grantees.
- Proficiency in computer-based financial analysis models.
- Excellent written English skills.
