Job Title: Actuarial Officer

Reports to: Managing Director
Purpose: Analyze data, conduct risk assessments, and provide insights to shape NIC Life’s insurance products and pricing strategies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform actuarial analysis and risk assessments on insurance products.
- Analyze new business value, embedded value, and asset liability management valuations.
- Identify liabilities and risks using advanced statistics and modeling.
- Produce reports on findings and identify business trends.
- Support regulatory reporting and profit testing under IFRS17.
- Assist in policy administration and premium collection.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant actuarial experience.
- Progress toward professional actuarial qualifications (IFoA, SoA, etc.) is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.

Purpose: Coordinate company-wide ERM framework application and advise management on potential risks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct risk profiling and assist in updating risk registers.
- Identify and assess risks associated with products and operations.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and submit compliance and audit reports.
- Promote a compliance culture through training and awareness activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field.
- Certification in risk management is an advantage.
- 1-2 years of proven work experience in risk management.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
