Job Description:
As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Newrest Uganda Inflight Services, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company. This includes managing risk, compliance, banking, cash flow, and taxation. You will report to the board of directors and work closely with the audit committee to ensure the company’s financial health and adherence to regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting:
- Submit Sage Push via Infodaf.
- Finalize intercompany reconciliations and HFM Extract Infodaf report by cost centre.
- Update and extract various financial reports including Cost of Sales trend report and YTD Operating Costs report.
- Report financial results to the board of directors.
- Risk Management:
- Mitigate key risk elements and monitor legal issues.
- Maintain control systems, insurance coverage, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure accurate VAT reconciliation and tax compliance.
- Banking:
- Monitor bank balances, maintain creditor database, and handle payments.
- Review bank reconciliations and final bank release for salaries and payments.
- Oversee payroll processing.
- Cash Flow:
- Forecast and manage daily and monthly cash flow requirements.
- Taxation:
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, including income tax and VAT, and handle all tax administration queries.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Financial Accounting, Commerce, or related fields.
- ACCA/CPA qualification.
- At least 5 years’ experience in financial accounting or audit roles.
- Familiarity with multiple accounting packages.

The Executive Chef will oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring the preparation and presentation of food meet company standards. This role includes managing resources, training staff, and maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize kitchen resources and manage food preparation and presentation.
- Assist in inventory and provision ordering.
- Implement company policies and ensure kitchen discipline.
- Develop and train junior staff for promotion opportunities.
- Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to safety rules and procedures.
- Oversee kitchen cleanliness and equipment maintenance.
- Report any incidents or hazards and participate in HSE meetings.
Qualifications and Experience:
