Lycamobile Uganda Speaks Out on Exit Claims

Lycamobile Uganda has come out to refute media reports of the telecom Company’s plans to quit the Ugandan market.

The UK- based Lycamobile Group entered the Uganda market in January 2020 during the locked down period and launched commercial services in April of the same year. The company has been known for providing some of the most affordable date bundles in the country.

Despite its competitive offering Lycamobile has encountered severe outages contributing to speculations about it’s potential closure .

And further the rumors was ignited over the weekend after number of Lycamobile customers reported issues with their data bundles.

However , Lycamobile Uganda has come and pour cold on the circulating rumors stressing that the rumors are untrue and baseless mainting that they are still in the Ugandan market in the official statement shared on their socials

“Hi Customer,

I would like to make it clear that we are still operating in Uganda. We continue to operate at full capacity, and we want to reassure you and our esteemed clientele that the reports making the rounds on social media are unfounded and untrue.
