Ugandan bus driver Muwenda Edward is feared dead following reports linking him to a missile strike at Saudi Arabia’s King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, although his alleged death has not yet been independently verified.
Reports circulating on social media claim that Edward was killed during the October 8–9 attacks attributed to Yemen’s Houthi rebels.
Saudi authorities confirmed that missile attacks targeted airport facilities and a Saudia aircraft, killing three Saudi nationals and injuring several people of different nationalities.
However, major news outlets covering the attack have not confirmed Edward’s reported death, and details about his employment and circumstances remain unclear.
Ugandans are now awaiting confirmation from credible sources or relevant authorities as concerns grow over the safety of citizens caught up in the regional conflict.
