Ugandan singer Spice Diana has broken her silence on persistent claims linking her romantically to a married man, dismissing the criticism while questioning what she described as unrealistic expectations placed on women when choosing partners.
Speaking during a recent interview, the singer said she sees nothing wrong with choosing the person she wants to love or marry, adding that her private life should not be dictated by public opinion.
Addressing the rumours directly, Spice Diana argued that it is unrealistic to expect adults to find partners without previous or existing relationships.
“People who say I’m dating a married man should tell me where I can find a virgin man.”
The Siri Regular hitmaker said relationships are complex and that nearly everyone has a romantic past, making it unfair for society to single out women over such issues.
“People have been dating, and it means I have also had people from the past, so I can decide to keep them and add another one. I’m just giving an example, and this is a reality.”
She further joked that many people are aware their partners could be involved with other people, even if they choose not to confront the reality.
“Even the man you have, you just know he has some others out there, but he just doesn’t tell you. In your mind, give yourself a number and be at peace.”
Spice Diana also revealed that she cannot completely rule out the possibility of being in a polygamous relationship in the future, saying she prefers not to make absolute declarations that circumstances could later prove wrong.
