Ugandan TikToker Ibrahim Musana, popularly known as Pressure 24/7, has been granted mandatory bail after spending about five months on remand at Luzira Prison.

Pressure 24/7 was arrested in March 2026 over a TikTok video concerning Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba and was charged with unlawful processing of personal data. An earlier hate speech charge was dropped following the nullification of parts of the Computer Misuse Act.

On Wednesday, August 26, Buganda Road Chief Magistrate’s Court granted him mandatory bail after he had spent more than the constitutionally permitted period on remand without trial.

The court set his bail at UGX 1 million cash, while requiring two sureties, each signing a UGX 5 million non-cash bond. He must also provide proof of a fixed residence or employment.

However, Pressure 24/7 will remain in custody until his sureties are vetted and all bail conditions are fulfilled.

His next court appearance is scheduled for September 9, 2026.

This is the TikToker’s second major case. An earlier 2024 hate speech case involving comments about President Yoweri Museveni, the Kabaka and other officials was dismissed in September 2025 for want of prosecution.
