We are deeply saddened to share that the talented singer Evelyn Nakabira, also known as Evelyn Lagu, has passed away this morning after a long battle with chronic illnesses. She will be greatly missed by her fans and loved ones.

Despite facing kidney and heart complications, Evelyn remained strong and fought hard with frequent hospital visits. Her supporters generously donated millions of shillings to fund a kidney transplant in Turkey, but unfortunately, her health condition prevented her from undergoing the procedure.

Evelyn continued to manage her condition through dialysis until her passing. She was excitedly promoting her upcoming charity concert, the “Evelyn Love Charity Concert,” which was scheduled for October 28, 2023, at Papaz Spot in Makindye.

We were heartbroken to hear the news of her passing, which was announced by UNMF president Eddy Kenzo before it was confirmed on her social media platforms. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends during this difficult time.
