The Judiciary Service Commission of Uganda has announced an exciting recruitment drive for the role of Court Clerk/Interpreter. This large-scale hiring initiative, involving 100 positions, is a significant opportunity for Ugandan citizens with a passion for law and public service to join the judicial system.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications to be considered for the position:

  • Citizenship: Must be a citizen of Uganda.
  • Educational Qualifications: A Diploma in Law from an accredited institution is required.
  • Skills: Applicants must possess demonstrable digital skills.

Important Note: Candidates with higher qualifications than those specified will not be considered for these positions.

Job Responsibilities:

Successful candidates will be entrusted with crucial tasks within the judiciary, including:

  • Registering Cases: Managing and recording legal cases as they are filed.
  • Opening Case Files: Creating and organizing case files for legal proceedings.
  • Interpreting Court Proceedings: Translating court proceedings for those who require language assistance.
  • Maintaining Case Files: Regularly updating and managing case documentation.
  • Additional Duties: As assigned by the immediate supervisor.

  • Submission: Applications must be submitted using the Judicial Service Commission Form No. 2 of 2024, which should be addressed to the Secretary of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC). The form and accompanying documents should be sent as a single PDF to applicationcc2024@jsc.go.ug.
  • Application Form: Judicial Service Commission Form No. 2 of 2024 can be accessed HERE.
  • Required Documents:
    • A copy of the National ID.
    • A recent passport-size photograph.
    • Certified copies of O’level, A’level, and Diploma in Law certificates and transcripts from the issuing institution.

Terms and Conditions:

  • Document Submission: Only the specified documents should be submitted in a single PDF.
  • Aptitude Test: Shortlisted candidates will be required to take an aptitude test.
  • Notification: If you are not contacted by the Commission, consider your application unsuccessful.
  • No Canvassing: Any attempt to influence the recruitment process will result in disqualification.
  • Cost-Free Recruitment: The recruitment process is free. No payments should be made to anyone at any stage.
