Three KCCA Ministry Zonal Office officials and a land dealer have been remanded over alleged fraud involving a prime half-acre plot in Munyonyo, Kampala, in a case being pursued by anti-corruption agencies.

The suspects are accused of forging documents to facilitate the fraudulent transfer of land belonging to Mulebeke James, who reportedly owned the property from 2011.

Investigators allege that a special certificate of title was irregularly issued without properly identifying the rightful owner. The land was reportedly valued at Shs200 million despite an estimated market value exceeding Shs600 million.

The suspects are also accused of bypassing official procedures and evading required stamp duty payments during the transaction.
