Dembe FM, radio station owned by the Nation Media Group, is reportedly ceasing its broadcasting services in the country, aligning itself with current media trends.
The move includes laying off all on-air presenters with plans to resume business in January with a revamped lineup to boost revenue.
Rumors suggest that only the Talk & Talk Show team will secure spots, while others will explore opportunities elsewhere.Initially contemplating selling the station due to lack of profits, NMG opted for restructuring.
Upon its return in January, Dembe FM will introduce new shows and presenters, scrapping existing programs and adopting a streamlined approach with fewer on-air presenters working longer hours.
This restructuring will also extend to other NMG media houses like NTV & Spark TV, leading to layoffs for several on-air and less valuable off-air employees.
