Ugandan superstar Sheebah Karungi is known for her fierce independence and bold outlook on life, and once again, she’s making waves with her unapologetic views on marriage. Speaking during a recent interview with a Rwandan radio station, the “Nkwatako” hitmaker candidly shared her stance on one of society’s most cherished institutions: marriage.
“I said no to marriage, but not to children,” Sheebah revealed with conviction, setting the record straight. “Some things are just not for you, and you have to understand that. Marriage is not for me; its arrangement is not for me.”
The 34-year-old singer, who’s built a reputation as a free spirit, has made it clear that while she’s open to motherhood, the idea of getting “tied down” by marriage isn’t on her agenda. Her thoughts have certainly sparked conversation among her fans, many of whom admire her ability to remain true to herself in an industry and culture that often pressures women to conform to traditional expectations.
Although Sheebah shut down the marriage talk, she remained tight-lipped on swirling rumors that she might be expecting. Fans have been speculating for months, but the singer skillfully dodged questions about whether she’s pregnant. Her silence on the topic has only added fuel to the fire, leaving everyone guessing.
For now, Sheebah continues to live life on her own terms, showing that for her, motherhood and marriage don’t have to go hand in hand. Whether or not she’s expecting, one thing’s for sure: Sheebah will always do it her way!
Stay tuned—there’s always more drama when it comes to this queen of the Ugandan music scene!
