Role Overview:
The Automation and Control Technician will be responsible for repairing and maintaining computer-controlled systems on the packaging line, supporting line operations, and assisting the electrical team in problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to safety, health, and environmental procedures and legislation.
- Maintain safety and housekeeping standards.
- Locate and manage plant, equipment, spares, and relevant documentation/systems.
- Plan, prepare, and execute repairs and maintenance.
- Continuously optimize plant, process equipment, and systems.
- Operate plant and process equipment.
- Calibrate instruments.
- Implement basic software changes to PLCs with necessary approvals.
- Support project scoping and upgrades to plant and processes.
- Communicate effectively within teams and contribute to self and team development.
- Utilize loss and waste control and short interval control to identify and resolve problems.
- Apply 5S standards and practices in the workplace.
- Operate and control processes according to SOPs.
- Participate in and coach autonomous operations.
- Support quality at source and improve personal competence and flexibility.
Minimum Requirements:
- BSc in Electrical Engineering or a Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in a Manufacturing Systems Control and Automation environment.
- 1-2 years of experience as an Electrical Artisan in a similar industry.
- Solid understanding of programming and software.
- Flexibility and the ability to work effectively in teams.
Job Title: Food, Safety, and Hygiene Specialist
Location: Uganda

Role Overview:
The Food, Safety, and Hygiene Specialist will manage human resources, ensure a safe, healthy, and risk-free working environment, and oversee Quality Control and Food Safety governance for the brewery. This role involves managing quality control, optimizing team performance, and leading quality strategies as per VPO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement safety, health, and environmental procedures and legislation.
- Maintain safety and housekeeping standards.
- Develop employees and ensure a positive employee relations climate.
- Manage personnel practices and ensure standards are in place and well understood.
- Conduct training and verify execution of procedures to ensure compliance with standards.
- Ensure equipment calibration and functionality as per original standards.
- Report deviations to the Brewing Manager, Packaging Manager, and Plant Manager for action.
- Conform to value chain requirements and manage QC administration.
- Optimize availability of measuring equipment and control consumable stock levels.
- Facilitate effective team dynamics and maintain performance management systems.
- Communicate effectively and improve quality, compliance, and management on site.
- Achieve VPO targets and Quality KPI and PI targets.
Profile:
- Degree in Food Science & Technology, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biology, or Microbiology.
- 3 years of experience in an FMCG environment.
