MTN Uganda Limited is an equal opportunity employer seeking dynamic and skilled individuals to join our team in two critical roles. We are looking for a key Account Manager – Indian Accounts and a Manager – Bids to support our growth and drive success in our enterprise sales and bidding processes.
Main Purpose: To drive Enterprise Sales with a focus on Indian-speaking customers for enterprise bundled solutions. Build and maintain long-term relationships by understanding and meeting their communication requirements.
Main Job Functions:
- Set, deliver, and track sales targets aligned with business objectives.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of our business, offerings, competitors, and industry.
- Understand key customer needs and identify new opportunities.
- Expand relationships with existing customers by proposing solutions that meet their objectives.
- Generate new sales through existing and potential customer networks.
- Develop and maintain trust with major clients for account retention.
- Manage a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term success.
- Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities.
- Act as the main contact point, handling customers’ needs.
- Provide superior customer service and ensure client satisfaction.
- Communicate and coordinate with internal teams to deliver solutions.
- Conduct regular service meetings, resolve issues, and prepare performance reports.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
Experience:
- 2-4 years in Sales with knowledge of telecoms and Fintech products.
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in a sales environment.
- Experience in trade activations in malls, offices, and door-to-door activities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
- Fluent in Indian languages with strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Understanding of financial, legal, and contractual aspects of tendering.
- Hands-on experience in sales and account management.
- Knowledge of the market, industry, and sales performance metrics.
- Ability to function under pressure and deliver projects on time.

Position : Manager – Bids
Reports to: Senior Manager – Large Enterprises
No. of Vacancies: 1
Main Purpose: To oversee and manage the end-to-end bid process, identifying opportunities, understanding customer requirements, and submitting competitive proposals.
Main Job Functions:
- Manage the entire bid process from opportunity identification to contract renewal.
- Formulate effective bidding strategies, manage resources, and ensure compliance.
- Define potential partnerships and qualify opportunities.
- Map key decision makers and present deal value aligned with MTN strategy.
- Manage virtual bid teams and engage with sales, marketing, product teams, and other stakeholders.
- Develop clear win strategies and ensure compelling win themes.
- Resolve complex technical and business issues, and prepare commercial aspects of bids.
- Track and manage risks, coordinate client presentations, and ensure timely submission of bids.
- Contribute to proposal content and presentation, and drive continuous improvement through post-bid reviews.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, or Computer Science.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of relevant management experience in a large commercial enterprise.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in financial deal analysis.
