Role Overview: UCOBAC is seeking a dedicated and skilled Project Officer – Livelihood to drive the end-to-end implementation of livelihood initiatives. The role involves enhancing the capacity of selected households and communities to manage their development, focusing on agronomy, modern farming techniques, and enterprise development through the Participatory Integrated Planning (PIP) approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate project field activities and capacity-building trainings.
- Provide technical expertise in agronomy, climate-smart agriculture, and modern farming practices.
- Promote local innovations for climate change action and mindset change through the PIP approach.
- Document and report on project progress and impact.
- Ensure inclusive participation of marginalized groups and adherence to human rights.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ugandan citizen with a professional qualification in agriculture or related fields.
- Fluency in English and Acholi; additional languages (Arabic, Dinka, or Nuer) are advantageous.
- Valid motorcycle rider’s permit and ability to ride a motorbike.
- Proven ICT and computer proficiency, and hands-on experience in livelihood programming.

Role Overview: UCOBAC is looking for a qualified Project Officer – Land Rights to lead interventions that ensure secure access to land for host communities and persons of concern. The role will focus on building the capacities of land management institutions, conducting land mapping, and overseeing land documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and support project field activities and capacity-building for land management institutions.
- Provide expertise on land governance, including customary land registration and dispute resolution.
- Supervise land mapping and ensure data quality and compliance.
- Document and report on project progress and impact.
- Ensure the protection of marginalized groups’ rights in project interventions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ugandan citizen with an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying or related field.
- Knowledge of GIS software (preferably QGIS).
- Fluency in English and Acholi; additional languages (Arabic, Dinka, or Nuer) are advantageous.
- Valid motorcycle rider’s permit and ability to ride a motorcycle.
- Strong ICT and computer skills, with experience in land governance and documentation.
