Events promoter and talents manager Abbey Musinguzi alias Abitex Promotions has come out and declared that he was not suspended from Uganda National Promoters Association (UNPA) as their president.
A few months ago ,it was alleged that Abitex was fired from being the president of the Uganda National Promoters Association after violating the rules and regulations of the UNPA as he organised a music concert for Alien skin on the same date as Balaam ‘s ‘ Love Fest’ concert on behalf of musician Pallaso .
The suspension was made a public knowledge through impeachment letter from the compliance Regulations and Licensing office dated June 24 ,2023, Robert Twizire alias Nobat Events on behalf of others ,criticized Abtex for his actions as the interim president of the UNPA.
Speaking in an interview with one of local TV stations about the suspension allegations, Abitex said that he is still the legal president for UNPA and that he has no intentions of stepping down for anyone.
“I’m still the president of the Promoters in Uganda.I haven’t been removed by anyone and neither do I intend to step down for anyone.I’n still president of Promoters. I will only step down when I wish so ” , Abitex said.
