Position Details:

Museum Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the museum.
• Manage financial aspects, including revenue and expenditure.
• Supervise staff and volunteers.
• Ensure security and proper documentation of exhibits.
• Participate in developing a strategic development, marketing, and fundraising plan.
• Raise funds and mobilize resources for the museum.
• Plan, organize, and interpret exhibitions; deliver lectures as needed.
• Develop outreach programs and maintain collection records.
• Strengthen networking with other institutions and manage publicity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, History and Archaeology, or Business Administration.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in museum or heritage management.

Assistant Museum Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily museum operations and financial management.
• Assist in supervising staff and volunteers.
• Help with budget monitoring and exhibit documentation.
• Contribute to strategic development and fundraising efforts.
• Support exhibition planning, object collection, and outreach programs.
• Assist with publicity and networking efforts.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or Tourism.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in museum or heritage management.
