Children Rights and Violence Prevention Fund (CRVPF) is a leading African child rights and social justice intermediary organization. We collaborate with community organizations in Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, and Ethiopia to combat violence against children and young people, empowering them to make informed decisions and access dignified employment opportunities.
Job Summary
CRVPF is seeking a Regional Program Director to oversee grant-making and capacity-building efforts for community organizations and local NGOs. This role involves strategic leadership, program management, fundraising, and advocacy for children’s rights and protection.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with CRVPF’s senior management to implement and adapt strategic priorities.
- Lead and manage regional programs, ensuring strategic, programmatic, financial, and diplomatic support for partners.
- Supervise and advise country program staff, resolving field issues.
- Develop and implement a funding strategy; pursue new funding while maintaining current donor relationships.
- Create fundraising materials and represent the voice of vulnerable children and young people.
- Foster coalitions and collaborative efforts with regional institutions and staff.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Management, Project Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including a deep understanding of regional issues related to children’s rights and violence prevention.
- Strong communication, leadership, strategic, and analytical skills.
- Proven success in fundraising and budget management.
- Proficiency in MS Office and program management software.
Personal Qualities
- Passionate about social justice and children’s rights.
- Good judgment, confidence, and tenacity.
- Understanding of project management techniques and performance evaluation.
- Excellent data analysis, reporting, and budgeting skills.

About the Program
In collaboration with INTRAC, CRVPF is launching a training program for national consultants to enhance their skills in organizational development. This initiative aims to build a pool of qualified consultants to support community organizations in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Ethiopia.
Training Course Overview
- Duration: December 2024 – July 2025
- Format: Combination of face-to-face workshops and online modules
- Workshops: January 20-23, 2025 (Kampala, Uganda) and May 12-14, 2025 (Kenya or Uganda)
Program Highlights:
- Engage in online participatory workshops and face-to-face sessions.
- Develop practical skills through a learning project with a community organization.
- Receive mentoring and support throughout the training.
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in organizational development.
- Proven experience with community organizations and capacity building.
- Resident of one of CRVPF’s countries of operation, with relevant qualifications.
- Commitment to support CRVPF partners post-training on a paid basis.
- Strong track record and professional references.
Role and Responsibilities Post-Training
- Support CRVPF’s community organization partners in understanding their strengths and challenges.
- Assist in organizational assessments, capacity building, and implementation of action plans.
- Provide regular updates and reports to CRVPF while maintaining confidentiality.
Program Cost: USD 5000 per participant (covered by CRVPF). Participants must commit their time and actively engage in all program activities.
