Overview:

As part of our expanding Impact team, we are looking for a seasoned professional to fill the role of Senior Manager – Impact, Measurement & Evaluation. This role is ideal for someone with extensive experience in developing and managing impact measurement systems in fintech or tech sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage impact measurement, evaluation, and learning (MEL) systems to assess and report the effectiveness of our services.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to gather data and generate insights on the impact of our financial products on people and the environment.
• Use tools like Looker for data analysis to inform strategic decisions and create data-driven reports.
• Stay updated on best practices in financial inclusion, digital inclusion, women’s economic empowerment, and climate impact.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in impact measurement, evaluation, and learning, preferably in fintech or tech.
• Expertise in financial inclusion, digital inclusion, women’s economic empowerment, or climate impact.
• Experience with Impact Investment firms and ESG reporting.
• Strong understanding of climate impact measurement, carbon accounting, and emissions tracking.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools like Looker.

Location:

This role is open to candidates based in Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, Nigeria, or South Africa, with a preference for local talent who understands the regional markets.

Overview:

M-KOPA is seeking a skilled Finance Manager to oversee all financial activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency within our finance department. This role is crucial for supporting our strategic financial goals and optimizing financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily finance operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls; lead month-end and year-end close processes.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting; provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Enhance financial systems and processes, and manage relationships with external partners like auditors and tax advisors.
• Supervise and mentor the finance team; coordinate audits and ensure timely tax filings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• ACCA/CPA certification is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar leadership role.
• Proficiency in financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, and management reporting.
• Experience with MS Dynamics, data analysis, and visualization (Power BI) is required.
• Strong stakeholder management, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
