US-based Ugandan socialite and former model Doreen Kabareebe has publicly accused Prophet Samuel Kakande of giving her what she describes as a false prophecy and allegedly taking large sums of money from her.
The allegations have resurfaced in a video circulating on social media, in which Kabareebe speaks about her experience seeking prayers and spiritual guidance from the prophet.
In the video, Kabareebe alleges that Kakande gave her a false prophecy and claims that her situation appeared to worsen whenever she received prayers from him.
She also alleges that she lost millions of shillings in the process, although the exact amount and circumstances surrounding the alleged payments have not been independently verified.
The claims have since sparked discussion online, with social media users sharing different opinions about Kabareebe’s experience and prophetic ministries.
Kabareebe previously shared details of her experience in statements and videos dating back to 2024.
She said she visited Kakande’s church in 2020 after discussing her plans to travel to the United States with her mother, who was reportedly a congregant.
According to Kabareebe, she had savings from her time working in Dubai but spent some of the money seeking prayers related to her plans to travel.
She claimed that she paid Shs500,000 for what she described as special visa prayers, but said her travel plans did not unfold as she had expected at the time.
Kabareebe also linked the period to other difficulties she experienced, including public ridicule after a photograph of her riding a boda boda circulated online.
Kabareebe’s allegations remain personal claims and have not been independently established. There is also no detailed response from Prophet Samuel Kakande included in the reports surrounding the latest video.
