The recent King Saha Concert held at Hotel Africana in Kampala sparked rumors and speculations regarding an alleged incident where Eddy Kenzo, president of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), was reportedly prevented from greeting Bobi Wine by the latter’s security personnel. However, Kenzo has come forward to clarify the situation, asserting that he never attempted to greet Bobi Wine at the event.
In response to the allegations, Kenzo emphasized that, as the music industry president, it was Bobi Wine’s responsibility to initiate any greeting between them. He refuted claims that he faced hindrance from security personnel, stating, “I never tried to greet him. I am his president in the music industry; he is the one meant to stand up and come greet me.”
Kenzo highlighted the importance of proper channels and mutual respect within the music fraternity, urging against the use of propaganda to create misleading narratives. He cautioned Bobi Wine against portraying himself as the sole authority or “godfather” of the Uganda entertainment industry.
