The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has unveiled the list of candidates shortlisted for various support roles crucial to the forthcoming national census. Among the roles included are stores assistants, administrative assistants, and assistant IT officers, integral positions vital to the success of the upcoming national census.
Following an extensive aptitude test conducted on April 23, 2024, at the UBOS Conference Hall, Floor One, the management of UBOS expressed satisfaction with the caliber of candidates. In a statement issued on Wednesday, UBOS extended invitations to the shortlisted candidates for a Written Competence interview. This interview is slated to transpire on Friday, April 26, 2024, at the Statistics House Conference Hall, also located on the first floor.
The recruitment drive forms part of the preparation for the National Population and House Census (NPHC) scheduled for 2024. Last month, UBOS initiated a nationwide online recruitment process aimed at filling 114,460 enumerator positions and 18,483 supervisor roles essential for the ten-day census set to commence on May 10, 2024.
The released shortlist provides an essential guide for prospective candidates and offers insight into the next steps of the selection process.
Candidates fortunate enough to secure a spot on the shortlist are reminded to adhere strictly to the interview schedule. UBOS emphasizes punctuality, urging candidates to report to the designated venue one hour before their allocated interview time.
Registration of candidates will be facilitated at the UBOS Conference Hall, with entrance restricted exclusively to those individuals who have received official invitations. This measure ensures a streamlined and orderly process, maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the recruitment procedure.
