According to information reaching our news desk indicate that, Radio Simba presenter and You Tuber Gerald Seguya Lubega alias Kakalamu has left the country and settled in Canada for fresh start.
He is now among the many Ugandan journalists who have moved abroad in the last few years in search of better opportunities.
According to reliable sources reveal that Kakalaamu made a swift exit from the country, seeking asylum in Canada. This move mirrors a growing trend among Ugandan personalities who have chosen to leave their homeland due to concerns over safety, a phenomenon that has gained traction following the untimely demise of Isma Olaxess.
The allure of flexible immigration policies has prompted several journalists to explore opportunities abroad, leveraging the ability to travel freely to other countries.
Having successfully navigated through the necessary paperwork, Kakalaamu recently embarked on a trip to visit his baby mama’s parents, marking the culmination of his Kukyala ceremony last weekend.
Notably, this isn’t Kakalaamu’s first venture into international travel, as he has been building an impressive travel CV, jetting off to Dubai with the late Isma Olaxess, followed by trips to South Africa and the UK.
Joining him on this new chapter is fellow media personality Kaye Wisdom, who, faced with uncertainty in Uganda and an unfillable void left by Isma Olaxess, has also chosen to seek greener pastures.

The dynamic duo of Kakalaamu and Kaye Wisdom has now found a home in Canada, with whispers suggesting plans to extend their connections to the United States in the future. This significant move comes just days after the pair attended the opening ceremony of the National Unity Platform’s (NUP) new party headquarters
