Jamaican dancehall sensation Konshens has calrified on why he didn’t offer financial Condolences to late Mowezy Radio’s Family, despite paying tribute and visiting the fallen’s burial grounds.
Konshens arrived in Uganda on Thursday morning and in Company of his entourage visited the burial grounds in Waskio, Nakawuka , Kagga, where he had the privilege of meeting the Kate’s mother Kasuubo Jane.
In a touching tribute the star placed flower on Mowezy Radio’s grave paying his respect before continuing with other scheduled commitments.
However his action was criticized and was put on the spot on why he never extended financial condolences to the fallen’s mother and also for not visiting Radio’s singing partner Weasel to escort him to Kagga.
Konshens explained at a press conference held yesterday that he was unaware of the Ugandan tradition of giving money in such situations, as it differs from customs in Jamaica.
He emphasized that his visit was driven by love and genuine concern,apologizing for any oversight in not inviting Radio’s singing partner, Weasel, and acknowledging that he might not have followed the expected protocol.
“I don’t know if that’s a regular or cultural thing in Uganda but that’s not a cultural thing where I come from,—my thing was out of respect and if that was the proper way to do it, am sorry.” Konshens explained.
