Pastor Andrew Jengo finds himself once more under the scrutiny of the media, this time amidst accusations of selling the property belonging to his late father, Pastor Yiga. A distressed daughter, speaking on behalf of her siblings, lamented that despite their father’s hard work to secure a good life for them, they are now left with nothing.
The late Pastor Yiga, who passed away in 2020, had only one known child, Andrew Jengo, who was actively involved in ministry alongside his father at the Kawaala church. As the next of kin and the designated heir to the property, Pastor Jengo shouldered the responsibility of his father’s unknown children. However, this inheritance was not without its challenges.
Tragically, Pastor Yiga had accumulated substantial debts across various business ventures by the time of his passing. Pastor Jengo, unaware of the extent of these financial obligations, soon found himself embroiled in disputes as his father’s debts came to light.
The troubles began with the loss of ABS Television, a prominent asset, due to outstanding debts. Pastor Jengo also faced challenges with the widows and mothers of his late father’s children, who demanded more than he could afford. Now, another daughter has stepped forward, alleging that Pastor Jengo has sold off all the family’s assets, leaving them in a precarious financial situation.
“I am one of the daughters of the late Pastor Yiga, and our brother, Pastor Jengo, has liquidated all our assets. We are drowning in debt with no property to our name,” she expressed, pleading for assistance.
The family now finds itself in the midst of a tumultuous dispute, grappling with the loss of both a beloved patriarch and their financial security. The allegations against Pastor Jengo continue to reverberate, painting a troubling picture of a family torn apart by financial strife.
