Bien, a cherished member of the renowned boyband Sauti Sol, recently took a trip down memory lane as he returned to the iconic Victoria Auditorium, a decade after his last visit. The artist admitted to feeling a profound sense of nostalgia, reminiscing about the early days of Sauti Sol and their breakout hit “Sura Yako” in Uganda.

Hitting the stage with a wave of excitement, Bien treated the audience to an electrifying performance, showcasing tracks from his latest album “Alusa Why Why Are You Topless.” Dedicated mostly to the enamored souls in the audience, his setlist was a blend of soulful melodies and heartfelt lyrics.

For ninety captivating minutes, Bien serenaded the crowd with a mix of his solo hits like “True Love,” “Sex and Marijuana” (which he revealed was inspired by a Ugandan woman), and “Chikwere,” alongside classic Sauti Sol tunes. Amidst the energetic atmosphere, Bien expressed surprise at the audience’s familiarity with his new songs, marveling at their ability to sing along effortlessly.

Dubbed “A Night With Bien,” the concert was organized by Malembe Entertainment and hosted by rapper and radio personality Timothy Code, along with NRG radio host Zion Kente. The event kicked off with stellar performances from rising Ugandan music stars, including the dynamic girl band Warafiki, talented vocalists Ceee and Mike Mungu, accompanied by the vibrant sounds of the Akadope Band.

Highlights of the night included a mesmerizing performance by Elijah Kitaka and a surprise guest appearance by Joshua Baraka, hailed by Bien as an “international superstar” deserving of utmost protection.

As the night drew to a close, Bien’s performance left an indelible mark on the audience, reaffirming his status as a musical icon and cementing his place in the hearts of fans both old and new.
