Former Uganda Cranes assistant coach Sam “Bamweyana” Ssimbwa has reportedly been involved in a physical confrontation in Kazo, with disturbing footage of the incident circulating online.

In the video, Ssimbwa is seen wearing a checkered shirt and holding a phone as a group of men surround him. Some appear to grab, push and restrain him during the chaotic confrontation.

Several bystanders are seen watching as others, including people wearing high-visibility vests, attempt to intervene.

The circumstances that led to the confrontation remain unclear, with no confirmed information currently available about what triggered the incident or the identities of those involved.

Ssimbwa previously served as an assistant coach of the Uganda Cranes under head coach Paul Put and was notably left out of Uganda’s AFCON squad setup in late 2025 despite his previous involvement with the national team.
