About Health Service Commission (HSC):
The Health Service Commission (HSC) is tasked with the responsibility of advising the President of Uganda and the Government on issues related to Human Resources for Health (HRH). The Commission’s strategic objectives include recruiting qualified and competent healthcare professionals to enhance efficient and effective health service delivery.

How to Apply: Applications are open for suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant Nursing Officer positions at various healthcare facilities including the Ministry of Health Headquarters (MOH-HO), Regional Referral Hospitals (MoH—RRH), Mulago Specialized Women and Neonatal Hospital (MSWNH), Butabika National Referral Mental Hospital, and Mulago National Referral Hospital.

Interested candidates are required to apply online at https://hscers.ug and submit their applications to the Secretary, Health Service Commission.

Application Instructions:

  1. Complete PSF 3 form and keep it for future reference.
  2. Prepare a scanned passport-size photograph in JPEG format.
  3. Scan and attach only the relevant documents as follows:
    • Academic and professional certificates (UCE, UACE, Diplomas, Degrees, Fellowships).
    • Evidence of training in specialized areas, where applicable.
    • Letters of appointment, confirmation, and promotion, where applicable.
    • Registration certificates and valid practicing licenses for health workers required by law to register with relevant Professional Councils.
    • National and current Institutional Identity Cards.

Application Process:

  1. Visit the website and familiarize yourself with the job advert information.
  2. Click on “Log-in” and select “Register Now.” If you are already registered, log in with your details, update your profile if necessary, and proceed to the next steps.
  3. View the available jobs by clicking on “Simple Search” and search for the Nursing Officer position.
  4. Select the desired job, click “Apply Now,” upload all relevant documents, and save your application.
  5. After completing the application process, click “Submit” to submit your application.

Note:

  • Priority should be given to uploading only the required documents as per the job specifications.
  • Shortlisted candidates will have the opportunity to present additional relevant documents during interviews.
