Jessica Kayanja responds to Frank Gashumba
Highlights
  • Jessica Kayanja criticises Gashumba over alleged body-shaming.
  • The feud centres on Gashumba’s Shs500 million healing challenge.
  • The dispute has drawn in family members and sparked wider debate.

Pastor Jessica Kayanja has taken aim at social commentator Frank Gashumba, accusing him of focusing on body-shaming instead of addressing the issues behind his public dispute with her husband, Pastor Robert Kayanja.

Jessica questioned Gashumba’s reported description of the preacher as a “bald-headed, dyed-up fellow,” arguing that personal attacks distract from meaningful discussions.

“When I was growing up, my father used to talk about development. As I grew up, I thought men talked about development and planning. I didn’t know a man could talk about body-shaming. I thought that was the work of women,” she reportedly said.

Her remarks come amid an escalating dispute between Gashumba and Pastor Kayanja over claims of miraculous healing.

Gashumba has challenged pastors who claim healing powers to prove their abilities by treating critically ill patients in intensive care units under verifiable conditions, offering Shs500 million as a reward. Kayanja has defended the miracles associated with his ministry.

The dispute intensified after Kayanja warned Gashumba that his “own blood will kill you,” sparking further exchanges involving family members, including Sheila Gashumba and Pastor Robert Kayanja Jr.

The confrontation has fuelled debate over miracle claims, religious accountability and whether the public discussion should focus on evidence rather than personal attacks.
