The highly anticipated Uganda Advanced Certificate of Examinations (UACE) 2023 results have been released by the Uganda National Examinations Board (Uneb) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Sports. Among the list of winners, we delve into the districts that have emerged as the top and best-performing in this year’s UACE results, highlighting the schools that have excelled.
Wakiso District: Standing tall with a remarkable performance, Wakiso district boasts numerous schools that have achieved outstanding results, with several securing maximum 20 points. Additionally, the district celebrates a high number of candidates scoring 15 points and above. Notable among the best performing schools in Wakiso are:
- St. Mary’s Secondary School Kitende
- King’s College Buddo
- St. Mary’s College Kisubi
- St. Julian High School Annex Gayaza
- Uganda Martyrs SS Namugongo
- Naalya Secondary School Namugongo
- Bulooba Royal College
- Uganda Martyrs SS Namugongo, among others.
Mukono District: A consistent performer, Mukono district maintains its reputation as one of the top four best-performing districts in Uganda across all levels, from PLE to UACE. The schools that have shone brightly in UACE 2023 include:
- Seeta High School Mukono
- Seeta High School A Level Campus
- Seeta High School Green Campus
- Seroma Christian High School
- Hilton High School
- Naggalama Islamic
- Namagunga
- Namilyango College, among others.
Kampala District: The bustling capital city district, Kampala, also joins the ranks of top-performing districts in UACE 2023, with several schools boasting impressive results. Noteworthy schools in Kampala with a significant passing rate include:
- Bishop Cipriano Kihangire
- Lubiri SS
- Kibuli SS
- Mengo SS
- Makindye SS
- Mengo SS Annex
- Greenhill Academy
- Namungona High School
- Kololo SS
- Pride Academy, and more.
Other districts that have displayed remarkable performances and secured top spots in UACE 2023 include, but are not limited to, Mbarara, Masaka, Iganga, Ibanda, Bushenyi, Mpigi, Ntungamo, among others.
