Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) Chairman’s Office head and Kasambya County MP Daudi Kabanda has warned bloggers he alleges were hired by State Minister Justine Nameere to attack him and other PLU officials, including PLU Chairman Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
In remarks shared online, Kabanda warned the alleged bloggers that they would face consequences for their actions, saying, “You will pay for your actions.”
Kabanda also claimed that he was aware of an earlier attempt by Nameere to recruit influencer TRUELEADER to target him and his PLU associates on social media. The allegation has not been independently established.
His latest remarks add to the ongoing public feud between Kabanda and Nameere, which reportedly dates back to May 2026.
The disagreement has involved disputes over PLU endorsements in the parliamentary speakership race, accountability for funds raised during Gen Muhoozi’s birthday charity activities, and counter-accusations involving blackmail and personal misconduct.
Kabanda’s warning has drawn criticism from some social media users, who described his remarks as direct threats against bloggers. They argued that political leaders should address online criticism through lawful channels rather than intimidation.
The latest exchange highlights the continuing tensions between the two political figures and the broader debate over political disagreements, online criticism and accountability in Uganda’s digital space.
