Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) head of the Chairman’s Office and Kasambya County MP Daudi Kabanda has made fresh allegations against PACEID Chairman Odrek Rwabwogo, claiming a milk company registered in South Sudan was allegedly used as a cover for supplying helicopters.

Kabanda made the allegations while addressing journalists on the growing controversy surrounding PACEID, following claims that the organisation is illegal and reports that its official Matthew Bagonza was detained.

According to Kabanda, the alleged helicopter supply arrangement was connected to suspicious deals that he linked to alleged arms trafficking schemes, including matters surrounding former UPDF officer Michael Katungi.

Kabanda also questioned the source of funding for Rwabwogo and activities linked to PACEID, claiming that the organisation’s chairman has benefited from government funds.

Daudi Kabanda accuses U.S. Senator Jim Risch of interfering in Uganda’s affairs.

Rwabwogo, who is President Yoweri Museveni’s son-in-law, has recently faced increased scrutiny amid controversy surrounding an alleged $14 million government payment reportedly linked to supplies for South Sudan.

The latest accusations add fuel to the increasingly bitter political confrontation between Kabanda, a close ally of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, and Rwabwogo.

However, the allegations made by Kabanda remain claims and have not been independently established. Rwabwogo and the other individuals mentioned have an opportunity to respond.
