NBS TV star Douglas Lwanga has taken the top spot in the latest 2026 TV presenter rankings by Market Intelligence Group (MIG), emerging as Uganda’s No.1 entertainment television presenter.
The NBS After 5 host has reportedly been ranked ahead of some of the country’s biggest television personalities, reaffirming his strong position in Uganda’s entertainment media space.
Lwanga, who has spent more than 18 years on television, joined NBS TV in 2018 and also serves as Head of Events at Next Media. He is the founder of Purple Skills Klinic Foundation and the brains behind the annual Purple Party Tour, which has supported young talent and youth mentorship for years.
Coming in at No.2 is Sandra Lian of Sanyuka TV, whose popular gossip programme Uncut has helped establish her as one of Uganda’s rising entertainment television personalities.
The rankings also highlight the strength of Next Media, with presenters from NBS TV and Sanyuka TV dominating the top positions ahead of competitors from NTV, Spark TV and UBC.
One notable name missing from the 2026 rankings is Edwin Katamba, popularly known as MC Kats, who occupied the No.2 position last year.
The veteran presenter recently announced his retirement from television after 23 years on air.
