Uganda’s entertainment industry is mourning the death of Keno 53, a renowned dance coach and mentor who passed away after battling health complications for some months.
Keno, widely recognised for his contribution to Uganda’s dance and choreography scene, previously coached Kings 256 and LXD dance groups and mentored numerous dancers throughout his career.
He also featured in Rema Namakula’s Muchuzi music video and performed at Spice Diana’s Ndi Mu Love concert.
Tributes have since poured in from members of Uganda’s dance fraternity, with dancer Ritah Dancehall describing Keno as a brother, mentor, father figure and inspiration to many.

Keno 53’s death marks a painful loss for Uganda’s dance fraternity, which continues to celebrate the legacy he built through mentorship, performance and choreography.
