Uganda’s internationally acclaimed dance group, Triplets Ghetto Kids, made history after delivering a spectacular performance during the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final halftime show at MetLife Stadium with Shakira and Burna Boy.
The Kampala-based children’s group joined global music stars Shakira and Burna Boy on one of the biggest entertainment stages in the world, thrilling thousands of fans inside the stadium and millions watching globally.
Dressed in matching yellow outfits, the Ghetto Kids showcased their trademark energetic choreography, once again proving why they have become one of Africa’s most recognised youth dance groups.
From Kampala Streets To The World Stage
The Ghetto Kids’ journey from humble beginnings in Kampala to international recognition has inspired millions around the world.
The group gained global attention through viral dance videos before attracting recognition from international artists, brands, and audiences.
Reports indicate that Shakira personally invited the Ugandan dancers after being impressed by their performance to “Dai Dai,” the official FIFA World Cup song recorded by Shakira and Burna Boy.

The July 19, 2026 halftime show marked a major milestone in football history as the FIFA World Cup Final introduced a Super Bowl-style halftime spectacle for the first time.
