Step-by-Step Guide: How to Apply for UBOS Census Jobs Online

Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS), a semi-autonomous body, is at the forefront of producing reliable official statistics for Uganda. In line with the Uganda Bureau of Statistics Act 1998, UBOS is gearing up to conduct the National Population and Housing Census (NPHC) 2024.

This census is vital for the development and maintenance of the National Statistical System and will provide crucial socio-demographic data for planning and administration at all levels.

UBOS is hiring over 130,000 temporary staff and below is a guide on how to apply.

  • Use your registered email and password to log in to your UBOS account.

4. Navigate to Vacancies:

  • Upon logging in, you’ll be directed to the Job Vacancies page.

5. Choose a Job:

  • Browse through the available job listings.
  • Click on the “Details” button for more information about each vacancy.

6. Review Eligibility and Requirements:

  • Carefully read through the job description, eligibility criteria, and required skills.
  • Ensure that you meet the specified qualifications and requirements for the job.

7. Application Process:

  • Click on the “Apply Now” button for the job you are interested in.

8. Fill Out the Form:

  • Complete the application form with accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Provide your personal details, including name, address, and contact information.
  • Enter your educational qualifications, including degrees, certificates, and institutions attended.
  • Include details of any relevant training or certifications you possess.
  • Provide a detailed account of your employment history, including job titles, duties, and dates of employment.
  • List at least two referees who can provide information about your work experience.
  • Use your national ID for identification purposes.
  • Ensure that the phone number you provide is registered in your name.

9. Accept Terms:

  • Read and agree to the declaration or terms and conditions provided.
  • This may include statements about the accuracy of information provided and consent for verification.

10. Finalize and Logout:

  • Review your application to ensure all fields are correctly filled.
  • Once satisfied, submit your application.
  • Remember to log out of your UBOS account to secure your information.
