Ugandan socialite and businessman Shakib Cham Lutaaya delivered a dominant second-round Technical Knockout (TKO) victory over Kenyan musician Arrow Bwoy during their highly anticipated showdown at the Vurugu II corporate boxing event in Nairobi on Sunday morning.
The fight had attracted massive attention across East Africa, largely due to the long-running comparisons and public rivalry involving their partners, Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan and Kenyan singer Nadia Mukami. The bout was marketed as more than just a boxing match, it was a battle of pride, reputation, and bragging rights.
Tensions had already reached boiling point before fight night. During the official weigh-ins, Arrow Bwoy sparked controversy after hurling an egg at Shakib, an act that fueled anticipation for what many expected to be an intense grudge match.
However, once the opening bell rang, Shakib’s superior boxing experience quickly became apparent. The Ugandan fighter controlled the pace of the contest from the outset, landing cleaner shots and putting constant pressure on Arrow Bwoy, who was making his boxing debut.

Arrow Bwoy even jokingly warned Shakib against bringing his wife, Zari Hassan, to the fight, claiming she might faint while watching him get beaten.
But on fight night, those bold predictions backfired spectacularly.Instead of collecting an easy victory, Arrow Bwoy found himself overwhelmed by Shakib’s skill and composure inside the ring. Following the bout, social media erupted with reactions as fans praised Shakib’s preparation, discipline, and performance. Others applauded Arrow Bwoy for stepping into the ring despite having no prior professional boxing experience.
