Photographs from the event showed Mbidde, dressed in a blue suit, posing with members of the community inside the studio. Some attendees wore traditional and cultural attire, while a decorated birthday cake was placed on the desk near the Radio 4 microphone.

Mbidde had celebrated his birthday around October 15–16, making the studio visit a special occasion for the community to express its appreciation for him.

The surprise celebration highlighted the relationship between Mbidde and members of the Banyarwanda community, who gathered to mark the occasion with cake, photographs and messages of goodwill.
