Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has publicly disowned Odrek Rwabwogo as his brother-in-law, adding a deeply personal twist to the escalating feud within President Yoweri Museveni’s extended family.

Muhoozi reportedly said he does not recognise Rwabwogo as his brother-in-law, claiming he never approved of his marriage to his sister, Patience Museveni Rwabwogo, and that their parents forced him to accept the union.

The CDF said the only brother-in-law he recognises and approves of is Edwin Karugire, who is married to his sister, Natasha Museveni Karugire.

The explosive remarks come amid an increasingly public fallout between Muhoozi and Rwabwogo, who chairs the Presidential Advisory Committee on Exports and Industrial Development (PACEID).

Their dispute has recently spilled into accusations, threats of arrests and heated exchanges surrounding PACEID and its operations.

Muhoozi’s latest comments now take the confrontation beyond politics and institutional disagreements, exposing a highly personal rift involving members of the First Family.
